Another review finally! I’m going to keep this one relatively short as well.
Despite the art (which isn’t amazing but isn’t bad by any means) I really did like the first installment in the Ultimate Spider-Man series. It collects Ultimate Spider-Man #1-7, and a lot of the original Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movie was based off of Ultimate so it’s definitely worth a read.
However I will point out that:
- Harry is kind of an ass.
- Norman doesn’t turn into the same Green Goblin we’re used to seeing.
- Peter doesn’t have the grown-in web shooters.
However I did enjoy it. It was the introduction of Spider-Man into Peter Parker’s life and the little Uncle Ben arc - which is really sad, still. (Especially when you read the afterward in the back.)
Definitely recommend it if you’re a Spider-Man fan!

I realize that usually it’s the females that are in obnoxious poses.. but look at how Peter is standing.

part one of ironnman’s comic book rec video
alright so I had to split this video into two parts. the first video I recorded was 20 minutes long and obviously I couldn’t upload it to youtube.
but here you go! the first part of my recommendations. I’m not going to post links like I said, but if any of you want me to link you to any of them, just shoot me an ask. c:
although I will direct you to my favorite place ever, Midtown Comics.

Just a happy reminder! Avengers Assemble #1 releases Wednesday next week, 3/14! c:
